It has been quite a long process and a really positive experience. I think back to my nice neutral flat, which my friends thought was great, but for me it didn't quite have the look I thought it could have
My thoughts and feelings about what I wanted were very unclear but I knew I wanted something bright and a look that would be colourful but also warm and cosy during the winter
Katherine, Helen and Lauren spent a lot of time trying to interpret my unfocussed thoughts and were very patient with my unformed vision. Sitting here now in the finished flat I am stunned at the overall sense of colour. In particular, the impact of the orange, turquoise and aubergine/purple on the living room/kitchen.
They are colours which I would never have chosen on my own. There were a few times when I took a deep breath and trusted my senses, and with Katherine's encouragement went with COLOUR
Both bedrooms have also been transformed and the finish has exceeded my expectations
Katherine’s team were very helpful and professional and dealt with the inevitable hiccups and difficulties with consideration for me and a strong commitment to resolve each issue to my satisfaction
The overall results are amazing, and each time I receive a new visitor I wait for the response to the brightness of the living room, the curtains, the monumental orange chair and the fitted units

I never thought that one day I would have my own interior designer for a small project of renovating the hall

She successfully managed to convert our wishes, ideas and tastes into beautiful interiors that not only look wonderful but are comfortable and practical as well. Our previous experience of interior designers had been of a prescriptive mode of working, in which the designer attempted to foist their taste and ideas on us, persuaded us that their designs had been especially selected, only later to discover that they were identical to the style the designer always uses! But Katherine is the exception to the rule - she really listens to her clients, gains an understanding of their tastes and needs, and then offers solutions within the client's financial constraints. She has a great imagination, is an inspiration to work with, and understands colour, texture and shape in a way that very few people do
We first met her at one of the extraordinary events she hosts to showcase her work, and were so impressed we immediately arranged a consultation which has led to many happy years working together
We have used her in three properties now, in London and abroad. She has not only designed interiors for us, but gardens and driveways too. She's also successfully project managed our refurbishment in Spain, making the whole process much less painful than we had experienced previously. No mean feat!

“We approached Katherine as we wanted new sofas and chairs for our living room, and advice on colours for our fire surround. Katherine put together a fabulous scheme and we worked closely to choose specific fabrics for the sofas, scatter cushions, and an ottoman. She also arranged for the restoration and upholstery of a Georgian wing chair, which looks stunning now
We had new curtains for our dining room and landing windows, neither of which were easy jobs due to the age of the house. These have completely made both areas. The quality of the workmanship is second to none and we have had many compliments from friends. The fabric choice for our dining room took me right to the edge of my comfort zone, but I'm so glad I trusted Katherine's opinion, because it looks beautiful
We have been delighted with the results of Katherine's hard work. She is highly professional, fun to work with and really up to date with current trends. Most importantly however, she really listened to us and totally took on board what we wanted.
