SURREY COUNTRY ESTATE
This was a most unique project. Bespoke fabric was woven to replicate the original design which once hung in the library 100 years before
The yarns were perfectly matched for the trimmings, which we designed. The hold-backs were hand carved, ebonised and decorated with gold leaf. The library was successfully restored to its’ former glory and our client was thrilled with the results.
This was a unique opportunity to restore the former glory of the library in a stately home. Fortunately the original fabric had been lovingly stored which enabled us to use it for reference. We worked with a highly regarded mill responsible for weaving fabrics for the houses of Parliament and other significant buildings and homes. The grandeur of this room was truly achieved and our client was delighted with the final results. An exciting project indeed!
